Acacia obtusifolia      “Stiff-leaf Wattle”

Sprouting: 7-28 days.

Upright, spreading, perennial to 8m. Native to Australia. While a close relative of A.longifolia, it’s paler flowers appear later in the year, usually December to February.

Widespread in forests and woodlands along the coastal and near-coastal ranges of far south-eastern Qld and north-eastern NSW, the central tablelands east of the Great Dividing Range, central and southern coasts of NSW and far eastern Vic. It often occurs near the margins of rainforests. Usually flowers between November-January but fruits irregularly (WorldWideWattle). Usually found on sandy and sandstone substrates but also on basalt. It grows in wet and dry sclerophyll forest and margins of rainforest, woodland and heath (APSNSW).

Drought, frost, and salt tolerant. prefers a sandy/gravel well drained soil in full sun and is fast growing and hardy.
